Schedule Filling Up | Canandaigua Senior Portraits

July has been a fabulous month, and August is shaping up to be very busy.  I have just three Signature Sessions and four Express Sessions available for August — those times can be seen HERE.  Please call very soon to grab one of these sessions before the start of the school year.

For a bit more info on the difference in session types, you can see what they involve HERE.  And don’t forget my offer to have 2 or 3 seniors share a Signature Session.  I have one of those scheduled for Saturday and I’m really looking forward to it.

And PLEASE forgive me for the sporadic blog posts.  I have been posting some Class of 2011 sessions on the Laura Brophy Photography Page on Facebook.

Share a Session!

I’m pleased to announce a new option for senior portrait sessions.  Two or three seniors may share a Signature Session, for extra fun and extra value.  You split the $150 session fee, and then each senior commits to a minimum print  and product purchase of $375.  It’s a great compromise between the Signature and Express Sessions, and perfect for the senior who has a BFF or two (or a TWIN!) with whom they’d love to share the experience and a few shots.

There is always down time in sessions, as the senior changes from one outfit to the next.  When we shoot a shared session, we can alternate subjects, and take advantage of every minute.  And it can be so much fun too!  We can cover several locations, as well as the studio, and each senior can expect a gallery of approximately 30-40 beautiful images.

For more on my sessions, check out this post from May: http://www.laurabrophyphotography.com/blog/?p=1132. A shared session will give you the Signature Session experience.  We’ll need one coordinating senior to help us schedule a date, but then each family will contract with Laura separately.  The coordinating senior receives a complimentary wallet tin and set of wallets for his or her effort.

Let me know if you are interested in sharing a session!

Class of 2011 Sessions…an e-pic with every print purchased!!!

The books are open on Class of 2011 sessions. I am pleased to announce that each and every image you order as a print includes a low-resolution digital file, perfect for electronic sharing by email and on Facebook. It will have a small watermark and copyright notice, but you can share it easily with friends and family. Make your gorgeous portraits your profile pictures! E-pics are sized a maximum of 604px on the long size at a dpi of 72. It won’t be suitable or licensed for printing, but perfectly sized and optimized for sharing online and digital frames.

And you now have a choice to select a session that best fits your goals for the session, plans for the images, and budget.

Stay tuned for June session specials!

Flashback Friday | Finger Lakes Senior Portraits

I missed last week!  And I am thrilled that Maureen caught me.  I’m so looking forward to taking another of her sweet boys’ senior portraits!!!  And I always especially love my CA swimmers.

Here was one of my favorites from an Express Session last fall.  Mick from Newark H.S., who I just learned is headed off to Lafayette next fall.  Congrats!!!

Speaking of Express Sessions… I loved the way they worked last Fall, so this year, I’ll be offering two types of sessions all summer — the full Signature Session, as well as an Express Session offered on select dates in July, August, and September.  I’ll put more info up on them soon, so folks can decide which type of session best suits their needs.

A reminder re Flasback Fridays…. On Fridays in 2010, I am posting an image or two from a past session.  They could be as recent as the week before or from 2006, my first year in business.  No names will be provided, but if you spot yourself or your kiddo in the Friday Flashback, drop me a quick email to claim a complementary 8×10 of the image and a gift certificate for $50 toward a future session for yourself or to pass along to family or friends.  Be sure to check back every week, as you must be in touch before the next Friday to qualify for the photo and certificate (that email needs to reach me by midnight on Thursday).  You can check the blog or check Laura Brophy Photography Page on Facebook.  To have it the page feed into your Facebook news, simply click on the LIKE button on the page.

And what if I don’t post on a Friday?  The first person to email me with a friendly reminder on Saturday receives a $50 gift certificate toward a session for their immediate family’s use.  (Sorry, this one can’t be passed along.)  You are only eligible to receive this award once in 2010.

A few details to keep in mind: Only one certificate may be redeemed per session.  The certificate must be used within 1 year from the Flashback Friday in which the image appeared and may be applied towards a wedding, family or senior session.  There will be few “black out” special mini session dates for which you may not apply the Flashback Friday certificate. Those will be noted when posted.  Certificates may not be sold and have no cash value.
