I’m starting to get inquiries for Fall family sessions, and I’ll have the October schedule up and running by August 5th. Really, truly, I will. It seemed only fitting to pick an image from last Fall’s Mini Sessions, to get folks in the mood for some fall color. I’m afraid that it’s just around the corner.
This is Simon. I loved photographing his family, and I am so sad they have moved to Colorado. While I’ve never shared their images on the blog, I do have an amazing sample album in the studio from their session, and every time clients get to the page with this photo, they smile HUGE. I’ll post more from the session later this week when I post details for this fall’s sessions. In the meanwhile, send me an email using the CONTACT link above and I’ll send you more info.
As for Flashback Friday, it’s a 2010 deal I’ve made with my readers. Look back to the earlier months of the year for the details, if you care to see them.

As my winter hiatus winds down, I had the great pleasure of photographing this lovely, energetic young family, just a typical Sunday afternoon at home. I love sessions where we just play and hang together, read books, talk pirate, capturing sweet expressions and relationships, eating grapes, and having lots of fun along the way. Meet Amy and Jimmy and their two little boys.

The march toward graduation continues for the Class of 2010, as seniors settle on colleges, scramble to meet deadlines, and eagerly await decisions. The Class of 2010 will always have a special place in my heart. Many of those I photographed are classmates, friends, and swimming colleagues of my son Will.
Long ago, I abandoned the New Year’s resolution concept. I always came up with some rigid, crazy goals that weren’t really sustainable. Once I slipped up, I would feel like I’d failed and give up. And it usually happened some time before the end of January. So last year, I decided to approach the new year a little differently, by considering the life I want, celebrating what I am doing well and thinking about what changes will get me closer to living the full life I imagine for myself and my family. It works way better for me.
