will & rachel

We had dinner at my parents place, which has a pond, wildflowers, and lovely gardens. I got lots of great images, and there was challenging but interesting light. There are enough fun shots to last us several days. Here’s the first batch.

At last, Will got a haircut. Yes, I paid $21 to get a glimpse of those eyes.

memorial day parade



After years of trying to get a picture of Nora as the band marches by, she ended up stopping immediately in front of us today. The heat had overwhelmed a few of the kids in the band, and they needed medical attention.

I took a series on automatic, and then switched here to manual. I’ve really come to appreciate being in control and the better results.

vintage experiments

I’ve been looking over photos from the last month, and trying to see them for all their possibilities. I downloaded some free vintage actions from Alyson (thank you Alyson!!!), and tried them out on a couple of favorites, that were technical bombs, but warm my heart nonetheless.
