As we close out 2008, it is my pleasure to share some of my favorite personal images from the year, some seen here before and others making a debut.
And here we have Katie! Just a few months late. I think this warm sun will do our spirits some good as winter settles upon us.
I love it when we can really personalize a session, and this first series at the boathouse is a favorite. Katie’s family owns the historic red boathouse, photographed so often, and the pier has special meaning for them.
As I mentioned in a recent post, Katie is Fresno State bound! Congrats!
Swim season, that is. Will has been mostly sprinting so far, and for the most part all I’ve been able to capture on film is a lot of splashing. Today, he swam the 500 which gave me a better shot at him.
In my spare time, I continue to maintain the unofficial team photo gallery for CA Swimming & Diving, contributing lots (but not all) of the photos. Shutterfly Share has come a long way, and now the site has links to results, news clippings, and archives. Check it out HERE.
Here is Heather, at long last. She is Clemson bound. We had a great session together (way back in August!), traipsing trough fields, a beach, a lake, the courthouse, my studio. All about.
Heather is such a great kid, one of “my” swimmers. I’ve had the pleasure of watching Heather grow into a true champion, and I’m really going to miss being able to watch her race next year.
And if you are curious, I did one of my all-time favorite family sessions with Heather’s family a year ago at Bristol Hills. Check it out HERE.
I love following my seniors’ college search process. Three of my CA seniors signed national letters of intent to attend and play or swim for Division I universities. Katie is set to play lacrosse at Fresno State University. Heather heads south to swim for Clemson University. And Brittney is headed to Rutgers University to swim. All great student athletes. I look forward to following your teams!
And since it looks like I never blogged Katie or Heather, they are up next!
Everyone else, keep me updated on early and other decisions! I want to do a big collage this year with all my Class of 2009 seniors and their destinations.
