Alex

Alex was amazing in her session. I really enjoyed her relaxed, casual style and spending time with her. We cruised the pier and boathouses, the lake, and my favorite alley, and then returned to the studio. As you can see, the “new” brick wall in the studio is so much fun, and I’m loving experimenting with the possibilities of this great find in my studio.

Thanks, Alex, for a really great session. And thanks too to Becca, one of last year’s seniors, for sending her my way.

Water World

I took a little break last night to go to a swim meet at Colgate to watch Will (below) swim, and also got a chance to catch one of my seniors (Emily, above), gliding through the water. I continue playing with the water portraits. Great swim, Emily!

Will is not crazy about the shot below. He says he generally doesn’t like shots of the breast stroke. It certainly doesn’t convey the same power and grace that we see in a good shot of the fly, but I still find it interesting to photograph.

Artsy Urban Session

I invite Class of 2009 seniors to consider a Rochester Art Walk session. Art, sculpture, funky brick and urban grit in the University Ave and downtown areas of Rochester, with some classic architectural and garden shots as an addition at or near the Memorial Art Gallery. Perfect for the artistic senior. I scouted it out recently and took some test shots. Use your imagination and picture yourself in the scene for truly unique senior portraits. Check out a small sample of “backdrops” and “props” HERE!

This session location is available Monday – Thursday evenings only.

Brittney

Another great session with a Canandaigua swimmer, the beautiful Brittney. She also loves horses, and we headed over to the barn at Granger Homestead for some fun shots around the barn.

And yes, I missed yesterday on the blog. I was caught up momentarily with posting, but it’s been a busy weekend, so we now have a nice backlog of great images.
