Family {+Big Red Wagon}

What fun it has been to return to photographing young families. Yesterday, as I was leaving for the session, I turned back around and ran into my house to get this antique red wagon I had bought a year ago, but have never used in a session. Just in case… And then I arrived at their house to find these sweet girls dressed in red. Sweet serendipity.

I so enjoyed spending time with these folks and watching the kids play and explore together.

By the way, for any families struggling for understand what I mean by dressing in “coordination,” but not necessarily exactly “matching,” this is a great example of that. Same color scheme, but variations of style from person to person.

Baby+Baby {+ Siblings}

These sweet babies were a dream. Just 8 days old, and so, so tiny. Kai (baby boy on left) and Khloe (baby girl on right…love her hair!!!). While my Rachel was a peanut (at least relative to her siblings), I’ve never before had the privilege to snuggle and comfort a 5 pound baby. What an amazing treat.

And what a great bonus to get to meet and photograph their big brother Kaleb and big sister Emma. Their eyes just melt my heart.

Hannah!

As I finish up the senior orders and get them out in the mail, I’m enjoying the opportunity to catch up and enjoy the many special images we captured this summer for the Class of 2009.

First up in my catch-up effort is the spectacular Hannah. I so enjoyed getting to know her and collaborating with her to capture her free spirit and original style. What a fun session. All I can say is BEAUTIFUL!!!!
