I Love Storyboards | Cananadaigua Senior Portraits

I love working on Storyboards and Collages for clients, and I’m thrilled with the way these two for Kelsey turned out.  While I adore the way one beautiful portrait printed large and framed beautifully looks, I think that there are times when a series of closely related images really come together beautifully to tell a story.

Kelsey comes from a family of amazing lacrosse players and is committed to attend and play for Boston University.  Congrats Kelsey!

Keep in mind too, that all my Signature Session collections include a large print.  One option is to upgrade to a 10×20 storyboard with 3 images for an additional $50.

Flashback Friday | Rochester Family Photographer

I’m starting to get inquiries for Fall family sessions, and I’ll have the October schedule up and running by August 5th. Really, truly, I will. It seemed only fitting to pick an image from last Fall’s Mini Sessions, to get folks in the mood for some fall color. I’m afraid that it’s just around the corner.

This is Simon.  I loved photographing his family, and I am so sad they have moved to Colorado. While I’ve never shared their images on the blog, I do have an amazing sample album in the studio from their session, and every time clients get to the page with this photo, they smile HUGE. I’ll post more from the session later this week when I post details for this fall’s sessions.  In the meanwhile, send me an email using the CONTACT link above and I’ll send you more info.

As for Flashback Friday, it’s a 2010 deal I’ve made with my readers. Look back to the earlier months of the year for the details, if you care to see them.

Schedule Filling Up | Canandaigua Senior Portraits

July has been a fabulous month, and August is shaping up to be very busy.  I have just three Signature Sessions and four Express Sessions available for August — those times can be seen HERE.  Please call very soon to grab one of these sessions before the start of the school year.

For a bit more info on the difference in session types, you can see what they involve HERE.  And don’t forget my offer to have 2 or 3 seniors share a Signature Session.  I have one of those scheduled for Saturday and I’m really looking forward to it.

And PLEASE forgive me for the sporadic blog posts.  I have been posting some Class of 2011 sessions on the Laura Brophy Photography Page on Facebook.

Releasing Rosa Parks | Finger Lakes Photography

Over a year ago, Nora and friends rescued a baby Eastern Painted Turtle from a parking lot on the campus of Hobart and William Smith.  Originally named “Squirt,” Nora renamed her “Rosa Parks.”  Rosa has lived in an aquarium, tripling in size, and feeding on fish and turtle food.  She’s proven to be one tough little cookie.  And last night, she was released to the pond behind my mom’s house.  She lingered a bit at the edge, eating algae, and then took off to her new life.

Enchanted by Alpacas | Finger Lakes Photographer

I had the great pleasure to visit Aussie Hill Alpacas to take senior portraits of Nikole, and I look forward to sharing those.  I proof senior portraits in the order of sessions, and I have 4 sessions ahead of her.  But I simply couldn’t resist proofing a few of her beautiful friends.  I was really taken by these majestic creatures.  They move so beautifully, and are so very soft, with the biggest sweetest eyes.
