Family in Blue | Rochester Family Photographer

I love it when families book a session for the whole family after a senior session.  I had a great time with Jessica’s session, and then a month later, I met up with the whole family at Boughton Park in East Bloomfield, a gem of a park.  Loved the colors and spending time with them all.  The little guy is quite the character. Thanks, Carol, for sharing your family with me!

More of April & Jim’s Special Day | Rochester Wedding Photographer

.

I am now pleased to share a slideshow with more of the photos of the day. April & Jim met as members of the Corpus Christi Church choir, and it was during a regular church service that they were married, and their two families joined. The backyard reception was beautiful and fun! It was a privilege to be a part of this celebration.

PS. And yes, for a woman who says “I don’t do weddings!”, I’ve had my hands full with them lately, all for special friends. And I will confess, I truly love them. So now my answer is a heartfelt “YES! Bring them on!”

Brittany – Webster ’12 | Rochester NY Senior Portraits

Senior season is coming to a close. Brittany was one of my very last from the Class of 2012. I love that she wanted to capture her cheerleading as part of her portraits, and her choice to go with a casual cheer jacket and jeans rather than the uniform.  Brittany has picture perfect weather for her session.  I love the way that her eyes dance in the open shade on a brilliant sunny day.  Fabulous!

Alexa – Mercy ’12 | Rochester Senior Pictures

Alexa is absolutely lovely, and I had a great time going to some of my favorite spots with her. I always love these last few seniors of the season, the cool fall weather, and the changing landscape.

I am, for the first time since early June, totally caught up on proofing client sessions!!!  I’m still working on some art books, albums an orders, and have a bunch of galleries open to clients, but I am enjoying being caught up, at least until Saturday, when I have a wedding.  Now that I can breathe, I’m going to try to go back over the summer and share some images here a couple of times a week.

Sofia | Rochester Senior Portriats

I have had such an amazing senior season – with the most engaging, talented, thoughtful and beautiful young men and women.  What a pleasure.  This is Sofia, a senior at Brighton H.S.  What a fun surprise when she walked in with her grandmother Mary, with whom I used to work.

OK, let me set the record straight on one issue.  My selections for the blog and Facebook are wonderfully random.  I’m really not playing favorites.  If I have a few minutes while working on a session, or most often when I’m procrastinating, I’ll play with a few images and post them.  In a perfect world, I’d be more systematic.  But my world isn’t perfect.  I’ve done senior portraits for over 50 members of the Class of 2012, and while I’ve got great systems in place for proofing and ordering and delivery of fine portraits, my social media process is oh so casual.  But I’ll keep posting through the winter and try to recapture what has been a summer and fall of lovely images, thousands of them!
